Spring Startup
When you’re ready to get the sprinklers fired up for the season, please consider Red River Irrigation. First, we will schedule a time that works for you. Upon arrival we will turn on the water supply dedicated to the sprinkler system and slowly fill the pipes outside. We go thru every zone in your yard and adjust EVERY head to water only where it is needed. We verify the zone is operating properly, free of leaks, no kinked pipes (tree roots), heads are doing their job, etc. After the final zone is gone thru, we will then provide you with a full assessment of the health of your sprinkler system. Often times a simple head adjustment is all that’s needed. In case of necessary repairs, we will then provide an estimate for you consisting of time and material. With our experience we are able to keep labor hours low and customer satisfaction high. Finally, we will provide watering tips for your specific need. We can help you by programming the controller and answer any questions you may have on how it works and features the controller provides.
Sprinkler Service
No matter how bad you may think it is, we can fix it! Sprinkler systems typically don’t need the amount of maintenance as, say your vehicle, but from time-to-time service is mandatory. Whether it’s a broken head, a zone not coming up, a pipe leak, or a mystery, we can help! Using experience in the field we quickly decipher the issue and perform the repair. Often times, we are able to save labor hours using the techniques learned thru the years! Just because we can’t see the pipes doesn’t mean we can’t quickly figure out the problem! Call to schedule.
Rid – O – Rust Systems
Well water is a common source of water supply for your sprinkler system. This is a great cost savings as the amount of water usage is not charged by any utility company or municipality. Sometimes the water provided has above normal concentrations of iron. You can often smell the iron in the water supply, or you may start to see staining on houses, driveways, or hardscapes from the sprinkler heads. Rid – O – Rust is an injection system that adds a chemical into your sprinkler water that counter acts to prevent unsightly staining. We provide a professional installation along with a tutorial on its operation. Think of it as being similar to your water softener, except it is specifically for the sprinkler system. Please contact Red River Irrigation with any questions or interest!
Fall Winterizations & Blow Outs
October is Fall blowout season! First, we schedule a time that works for you. After verifying the water supply is turned off, we will replace the water previously in your sprinkler lines with air. Leaving all pipes safe for the upcoming winter months. This is a fully guaranteed service! No freeze breaks the following Spring! Please keep an eye out for fluctuations in our Mn weather, especially the low temperatures. Call at any time for assistance if worried about possible freeze, there are things we can do!
Sprinkler Installs
Sprinkler Installs are Red River’s equivalent of mini donuts at the State Fair! It’s what we’re known for! We meet with the property owner and listen to their needs/wants. Then, viewing every yard as if it were our own, we provide a game plan to attack the project. Understanding that this is basically underground plumbing we use only the best parts available. We offer a 3 Year warranty on the entire sprinkler system, parts and labor! The majority of the time you’ll see the entire team on the project making the process very efficient and our cleanup is to the point you’ll wonder if we’ve been there!
Add – Ons, Garden Zones, & Drip Zones
Red River Irrigation is your solution if you would like to add on to your existing sprinkler system. We’ll offer a gameplan based on your watering needs, with smooth transitions to the original sprinkler zones. We also split zones for areas that need more or less water. Ask about our garden zones to help you efficiently and effortlessly water your vegetables/flowers. Maybe you just need a spigot installed next to your garden to stop dragging the hose – we do that! Make your garden a rock star for the short growing season we have! We also want to mention our drip irrigation, which is typically found in landscape beds. The drip pipe is stapled to the ground and is buried using the existing landscape rock/mulch. This application is very water efficient as the water “drips” along root base.
Drainage
The metro area has very unique soil types to be certain. Summer after summer you notice the same wet areas when you mow. Your sump pump may run twice as often as your neighbors does. We install solid and French drains (application dependent) and also can assist with unsightly sump discharge pipes. Show us your problem areas and there is a great chance we can deter unnecessary water to a more desirable location. As always, our cleanup is A+
